My husband, son and I went to see the move “The Shift” from Angel Studios. What powerful, positive messages it had. One of the messages was “Shine your light with small acts of kindness.”
I love people. I love helping people to feel happy. I love seeing people do good things for each other.
At the 55+ apartment complex my mother-in-law is moving into, the manager said there is a gentleman who offers free rides for the tenants to their Dr. appointments. He does it one day for this apartment complex and other days during the week for other 55+ apartment complexes.
There is also a person who comes in regularly to do the ladies’ hair AND nails at no charge. What wonderful services to offer!
Helping those in need during Christmas is a great service. Helping those in need all throughout the year is even better.
One year I was feeling very down. I went to a store to look for a live greenery wreath for my door for Christmas. The employee in that department was so very nice and helpful and went the extra mile.
His kindness brought tears of joy to my eyes and I will never forget how much that meant to me.
When I was at the apartment complex with my mother-in-law, we saw a UPS driver picking up a stack of large boxes to bring into the building. I quickly went over to get the door open for her. She was SO appreciative.
It doesn’t take much to put a smile on someone’s face. Small things.
Look at someone in the eyes and smile.
Offer a sincere compliment.
Look for ways you can offer assistance.
Is a mom with small children trying to get the groceries into her car?
Did someone drop something that you could pick up for them?
You get it. Always be aware of how you can be helpful or build someone’s confidence or just make them smile.
Don’t forget to be kind to yourself, too. ❤️
